Did you know?

The Lotus and Dragonfly. The story behind my logo.

When I designed the logo for my soaps, I wanted it to be personal. I wanted it to represent ME, my story

The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower. In life, not every beginning is easy, but like the lotus, we can overcome tragedy and bumps to become a beautiful person.

In almost every part of the world, the Dragonfly symbolizes change, transformation, adaptability, and self-realization. The change that is often referred to has its source in mental and emotional maturity and understanding the deeper meaning of life. To me it also became a symbol of my father’s spirit. My father was my biggest supporter through life. He encouraged me, and believed in me. Losing him in 2000, devastated me. But he knew how to let me know his presence. The dragonfly. At the Markets, at my shop, on ”those days” when I am feeling down, he is there. He’s letting me know, he’s still here supporting me.

Guilty Pleasures Organic Soaps…. My logo…. More than just a picture, it’s my story.

Thanks for reading.
